Easy-3 Dimensionality Guide
Signage can be as simple as flat graphics to as complex as 3d letters and logos. Our Easy-3 Dimensionality Guide was developed over the years as a unique way to help solve this issue. Using the different levels outlined below we hope that you can begin to build an understanding of how your sign face will be produced.
Level-1: Flat vinyl graphics
Level-1 signs are the are flat with computer cut-vinyl or laminated digital graphics applied to the face. The design, typography can be customized for your need. They are made from a wide variety of material choices. A majority of our Express division sign products fall under the Level-1 sign definition.
Level-2: Carved letters or relief background
Level-2 signs have raised or recessed lettering or backgrounds. Using our CNC router allows us to precisely create a carved sign with a few different techniques including relief carving, flat engraving, and v-carve engraving. Some Level-2 signs have individual raised lettering attached to the sign face. These products are usually enhanced by paintedcolor. Most Level-2 signs are produced in our Custom Shop.
Level-3: Heavily carved or layered
Level-3 signs are the most complex of the options. They reflect the highest level of design and combine carving, painting and graphics techniques from the previous levels into a single sign. For example, a Level-3 sign might have a relief carved background in one spot on the sign face while also having prismatic letters installed to the face. Level-3 signs usually combine elements from the Custom Shop as well as the Express divisions.
